Fantastic service - very patient staff, nothing too much trouble. Ì was there very close to closing time, they were happy for me to try on some clothing despite meaning the store couldn't close. It was my second visit, the young man was very helpful in helping me choose my walking boots. Cannot rate too highly.
Always good stock - Very helpful and friendly staff.

Dropped in last Wednesday to get a bulb changed. One of gents kindly fitted it for me and also throughly cleaned my screen with glass cleaner FOC. Unfortunately when I got home I discovered the wrong bulb had been changed and my main beam had not been replaced as it should have been. I took my vehicle back in and explained to the gent on the desk. It was no problem to gent at the front desk who asked Neil to come and fit a new bulb to my main headlight. All done FOC - bulb and fitting. Neil even spent considerable time trying to fit an FOC bulb to my fog light that needed doing too and was in an inaccessable spot. In addition he also topped up my windscreen washer fluid - may not have cost much but still very few other companies would do that gesture FOC. Thank you Halfords for the excellent friendly service you provide and for making good on a mistake.
I've mainly bought from the bicycle section plus collected online orders. I also bought a bike in the past that was setup and had the free 6 week service. I've given 5 stars because they do some fantastic bikes under their own brands, Carrera and Voodoo for very low prices especially if you get them on offer. They also assemble and do the service for you and my experience of this store is excellent. However on collecting an online order a few months ago it was clear the staff were poorly trained and there was a big delay in finding the item. This caused frustration to me and the customers waiting after me. This was at the collection counter at the back on the ground floor and not the bicycle dept upstairs.
